Smoked Tomato Hummus

·         14 oz can chickpeas (reserve liquid)

·         2 to 3 cloves of garlic (optional)

·         ¼ cup or more of smoked tomatoes (to taste)

·         2 tablespoons of lemon juice

·         salt and pepper

Purée chickpeas and garlic in a food processor until fine.

Add smoked tomatoes and blend in.

Add lemon juice and salt and pepper to taste.

Add reserved liquid if too thick to dip.
