Our Farm

Certified Organic

We are a certified organic farm, certified to the Canadian Organic Standard. We have five acres under cultivation on which we grow a large variety or heirloom vegetables, herbs and flowers. We also have small livestock including ducks, chickens, dairy goats and pigs.

Heirloom Tomatoes

We are planning to grow about 200 varieties of heirloom tomatoes this coming season. Many, but not all, of these will be available at our plant sale starting May 17, 2014. If you are looking for a particular variety, please drop us a line.

Heritage Vegetables

We've certainly come a long way though I must admit it's been quite the learning curve.  Every year we get better with some vegetables and find some other new ones to try out.

Farmers Market / Toronto Availability

We will be at the Port Hope and Cobourg Farmers Markets. The Port Hope Saturday market is from 8am till noon and is behind the town hall. The Cobourg Farmers Market runs from 7 am to 1 pm on Saturdays, again just behind the town hall.

This year we are doing two Toronto markets. One is the farmers market at Wychwood Barns (Christie just below St Clair) on Saturday mornings. The other is at Sick Kids Hospital on Tuesday mornings.

Community Shared Agriculture

Wicklow Way Farm offers a 17- week CSA program that will deliver you a weekly box of our lovely vegetables. The program runs from mid June to Thanksgiving weekend. There will be a pick up location in Cobourg, Port Hope and at our farm (Saturday). For Toronto residents we will be providing a pick up location at Wychwood Barns Farmers Market on Saturday and at a number of CSA depots on Wednesday afternoon.

Farm Gate Sales

Our farm gate stand, which we affectionately call "The Mall", will be open from 11 to 4 Thursdays through Sundays starting June 5th until Saturday of Thanksgiving. Seasonal produce, meats (chicken, duck legs and breasts, Berkshire pork chops and roasts) as well as baked goods and prepared foods from our kitchen will be available.

This year, The Mall will be operating on a Self-Serve basis. We will be stocking our produce stand for your choice and we may be around from time to time for assistance.
